Happy Birthday Party

We had my son, Christopher's, 2nd birthday party today. He doesn't actually turn two until next week but because I'm having a baby shower for my good friend, Stephanie, next weekend, I decided to have is birthday party this weekend.

I think the party went pretty well. My sister, Willow, came over early to help me prepare but I think we should have started a little earlier because it still took a while for things to get going. The party started at noon but I don't think we were done eating until almost two o'clock. One pleasant surprise was that Christopher actually cared about his presents. We actually got him to open 4 or 5 of them before he got bored and just started playing with the toys he received. This is the first time we've gotten him to open more than one gift, so I was happy. I'll try to have the pictures online later today.

Now that his party is done I can concentrate my energy on Stephanie's baby shower. I still have quite a few things to get done before next Saturday, but I have a week so it shouldn't be a problem. I still have finish painting and sealing the little flower pots that I'm using for favors and then I have to work on Stephanie's gift. Other than those two things, I pretty much have everything else done. It should be a busy week next week, but I defiantly prefer to be busy rather than bored.
